If you're not making enough to keep a modest apartment, used car, and basic needs you probably fall into a category to where you can get a Pell grant and go to night school to improve your situation eventually.
Actually, even with those things, you can probably still get a grant. There are ways to move up some if you need or want to. My wife & I lived in a log cabin off the grid for 5 years. We didn't have much money but we raised a garden, Rabbits & chickens & I worked a low paying job at a truck stop. I was able to get a truck driving job then after a couple of years got a better truck driving job. We saved up money & bought 1 acre of land close to town & put a used single wide trailer on it. Raised our daughter there & after she was older my wife went to work. We scrimped & saved & replaced the single wide trailer with a modular home. People today think they have to have new cars, best cell phones etc etc etc.We are both retired now comfortably. What I'm getting at is don't expect to have it all from the start. Life isn't instant gratification but determination to get to where you want to be. Carl Merch Some define success by the riches found within through serving others, not materialism.
